About The Accreditation
This accreditation details the best-practice requirements for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving a documented Information Security Management System (ISMS). It is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls that protect information assets and give confidence to interested parties.
ISO/IEC 27001:2013 accreditation requires that management take the following action.
- Systematically examine the organisation’s information security risks, with reference to the potential threats, vulnerabilities, and possible impacts;
- Design, implement and manage a comprehensive set of information security controls (including other forms of risk treatment such as risk avoidance or risk transfer) to address those risks that are deemed unacceptable; and
- Adopt an overarching management process to ensure that the information security controls continue to meet the organisation’s information security needs.
